A new
month means time for a new creative project.
This month I am going to focus on photography. Here is what I know about photography - "People
use cameras to take pictures." From that
point on I am a blank page ready to learn new things. So I hope to try to learn a few things about
photography (basically how to use my digital camera beyond simply turning it on - pointing it at something and pressing the button).
So I
will be posting photographs this month and the theme will be Christmas. I will take pictures of Christmasy kinds of
things – and maybe scan an old photo or two from Christmas past that interests
me and see what I can learn about digital enhancement and alteration as well.
For
today’s entry I will start with an example of how poor of a photographer I
am currently. This is a picture of my semi-nude Christmas
tree. I only have the lights on it so
far, but that is progress since it stood in the house naked for several days
before I added the lights. I like the
way the lights reflect in the window, but I am sure there are much better ways
to take this photo and perhaps I will learn how during this month’s
photographic extravaganza.
