The fifth installment of the Creativity Challenge Box was selected by my friend Andrew at the last Creative Fun Day. He selected two wrapped items out of the box that actually turned into many items and here they are:
The silver ball in the right of the picture was a separate item and the rest of the things were all in the white container. I was very excited to open the container and find all of the metal type set letters and pieces. I know that some of them will go in the shadow box I made for the last challenge, but I will need lots of ideas and suggestions for what to do with the rest of the pieces. So any comments and thoughts will be appreciated!

Challenge 4 - Results
I bet you thought I dropped off the
face of the creative earth. I have been
busy and without the “commitment” of daily blogging, I have found that it is
easy to put it off posting until the next day.
And then the next day becomes the next day and then the day after that
and so on. For example, I have had the
project made from the last chosen items for the last six days and still haven’t
posted. So enough excuses, here it is.
The items were random and I was
given a number of good ideas as to what to do with them. One idea was a link sent to me by my friend
Sally in England. I was inspired by the
link to create a shadow box with the items.
Not only did I put the items from the last challenge into the box, but I
added the bottle of silver balls from the first challenge AND I left a few
shelves open for future items.
This is the front of the box:
This is the inside:
I will post about the next challenge
in a day or two. (but hopefully no more
than that.)

Entry 4
The fourth installment of the
Creativity Challenge is the following fun items. There are two drawer handles that I think are
really beautiful. Hopefully it will
still be considered “creative” if I actually use them as drawer handles. The green tube piece is made of lightweight
but sturdy plastic. The silver ball is
heavy and has a light ringing sound when you shake it in your hand. I will definitely appreciate any of your
ideas on what to do with these items.
Have fun!

Entry 3 Results
Sorry that it has taken so long to
finish entry three. I have been busy
and this was a bit too easy to put off.
I also was not exactly sure what to do with these items. I got some good input on Creative Fun Day and
here is what I came up with.
I loved the little bag and was
reluctant to pull it apart to make it something else. My friend Ginny suggested I use some of the
other items to connect to the bag in some way.
I liked the concept and so this is what I did.
I used the center of the metal piece
to extend the zipper pull on the end. I
used wire and beads to make it more decorative.
I took the big red ribbon, cut it in
half and sewed it up on each side making an envelope to store things in. I used smaller ribbon to decorate the
envelopes.
The envelopes fit inside the bag.
I still had the two metal bolts from
the original metal piece and was not sure what to do with them. I took them into the studio and played with a
few different options and all I could come up with was this bug. I attached bug eyes to the metal eyes with my
new favorite adhesive gel medium and covered the stems of the bolts with
decorative duct tape. I also covered an
old metal pin back button with matching duct tape. I was able to wedge the bolts into the back
of pin. It isn’t too exciting, but it is
quirky.
I will post the next challenge soon.
